Goods are required to be returned in all circumstances.  Return postage should be paid by the customer unless the goods are damaged or faulty.

Design & Print Services

You may cancel at any time during the design process but must pay for any work already completed on a project and cover the cost of any materials that have been purchased for the project (used or not).

Print orders can be cancelled only prior to printing.

Order process:  Design Services

Enquiries for design services can be made by phone or email.  The customer will be told the hourly rate and given an estimate of how long the work might take.  The time estimate will vary depending on whether the customer is able to provide all or some of the photos, logos & text required for the job.  Consent is then required from the customer to commence work.  This should be done in writing by post or email.

Any material supplied by the customer should be ready to use without need for editing or checking.  Time spent checking and amending spelling, grammar and factual inaccuracies during the design process will be charged at the same hourly rate.

A draft of the design - or a number of design ideas - will be provided for approval before commencing on the main body of work.  Consent to proceed with the design is required at this stage. After the draft design has been approved and the remaining content has been included in the design, the customer will be invited to check for errors and necessary amendments.

The customer will be notified when the estimated timescale for the project has been reached and will be given the opportunity to downscale elements of the design (that have not already been included) to minimise costs.

Order process:  Print Services

Print quotes will be supplied by post or email on receipt of a sample file provided by the customer.  Prices vary and are based on print coverage and the quality of paper required.  Quotes given are valid for 28 days.

Files provided by the customer will be printed directly from disk without editing unless otherwise instructed by the customer.  A proof can be provided if requested by the customer before printing the order.

Files prepared by Oops Pardon! design service for print will be sent (hard copy or email) to the customer for proof-reading before printing.  It is the customer's responsibility to check for inaccuracies/spelling mistakes/faults at this stage before giving consent to print.

Order process:  Personalised Calendars

An online form is available to facilitate this, but a normal email is sufficient, the form may also be printed and sent by post.  A deadline for when the goods are required is also necessary.  The total order price and payment options will be sent in reply by email.  These options are a) cheque and b) PayPal - this option takes the form of a payment button within an email.

No proofs are sent for calendars.  Hard copy photos are scanned at 300 dpi or greater and printed, digital photos are printed as they come - unless specifically asked to be cropped/altered.

Sample pages of medium and small format calendars can be purchased for £1.50, this fee will be taken off the final price should you choose to place an order.

Image quality  requirements

Imagery provided by the customer should not infringe copyright of others.  Oops Pardon! takes no responsibility for any infringement of copyright that may occur from using material supplied by the customer.

Photos on the ‘Skinny’ calendar are in a square format, pictures will be digitally cropped to fit but your originals photos will not be changed in any way.

Please print your name clearly on the back of each photo along with the designated month.  To prevent spoiling your photo, you can write this information on Post-it notes and stick them to the back of your pictures.  Avoid writing in biro on the back of photos, it will transfer onto the front of other pictures.

Please be careful if posting precious photographs, make sure they are well wrapped to prevent bending and water damage.  Anything of value should be sent adequately insured - ask at your post Office for details of services.

When scanning photos every effort will be made to get the best results but the scan is only as good as the original photo.

There is inevitably a decrease in image quality

Blurred photos cannot be put into focus

Small images cannot always be adequately enlarged

Digital photos will be printed as supplied.

Really bad cases of 'red-eye' can be improved if requested.

The large calendar option needs to have reasonably large photos supplied to maintain picture quality as the images are enlarged to A4 size.

If you are providing printed images to scan please note that photos printed from an inkjet printer do not scan well and will be very speckled. If they have been printed on an inkjet then they must already be on a computer - please copy them to disk instead of sending a print out.
